| A Chance At The American Dream
Neighborhood
Housing Partnership of Greater Springfield (NHP) & the Building
Industry Association of Clark County have joined together to construct
eighteen homes on Clifton Court Avenue near South High School in 2007.
The urban neighborhood will provide a diverse choice of homes, financing
options and will be built with environmentally friendly designs and
materials to preserve water, energy and provide amenities the market of
today is looking for in a new home.
The BIA's commitment to the project helps NHP fulfill
a vision of providing affordable quality housing for future generations
near a major gateway to Springfield. This development will create the
first new neighborhood in the city core in over 50 years. The investment
in this area will sustain stable homeownership for families resulting in
better educational, social and economic outcomes for the entire
community. |

Why "Urban" Development
Is Important For Springfield Diverse,
Safe, Convenient Neighborhoods With Homes People Can Afford.
There is a universal consensus by major stakeholders
of Springfield that it is critical to improve gateway neighborhoods in
order to create a favorable entrance to the central city. As such, NHP
has established a unique partnership with the BIA to construct a
neighborhood revitalization plan to meet the growing demand for a smart
growth community: one that is centrally located to services, recreation,
transportation and a host of other amenities is not easily accessible in
the suburbs. Just think of the advantages for the families who live
close enough to walk to the library,
the YMCA, the
Kuss Auditorium, their
local banks, restaurants or the
Heritage Center. This partnership engages our local builders,
keeping jobs and investments in our communities where they belong
